A mysterious cloaked figure referred to as the Hooded Menace appeared for the first time in Oreo Double Stuf Racing League (DSRL) advertisements about four months ago. The identity of the hooded menace has remained a mystery until this past weekend.
The black-cloaked figure who threatened to take over the world of Oreo lick racing is none other than tennis legend John McEnroe. Despite his vow to be the best at Oreo licking, McEnroe was defeated by the DSRL team consisting of New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning, Boston Celtics center Shaquille O’Neal, Olympic speed skating gold medalist Apolo Ohno and tennis champion Venus Williams.
To win the lick race, the star-powered DSRL team had to be the first to twist open their Oreos, lick off all of the creme, dunk the Oreos in a glass of a milk, eat the Oreos and drink the milk.
After losing, McEnroe tore off his hood, revealing his masked identity. Just as he did during his tennis career, McEnroe complained to the judge (in this case, an Oreo referee) after his team lost to the superstars. As the argument heated, McEnroe used hand motions to plead his case before vowing that this wasn’t over. Is a rematch in store? Check out the video below.
