Maroney, 25, was arrested in St. Louis on weapons charges, according to KMOV-TV. There are no details just yet, other than that Maroney was in a car with three other men when the vehicle was pulled over by police.
The Patriots traded Maroney to the Broncos in September after he was inactive for the season opener in New England. The Broncos sent a fourth-rounder to the Patriots, which, in retrospect, appears to be a rather steep price for a guy who had as many first downs as fumbles in his time as a Bronco.
Is the UFL in Laurence Maroney’s future? And did you know the “You Can’t See Me Dance” doesn’t work on police? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
“Just take the loss like a man, just take it like a man and move on.”
