Patriots Place Defensive Lineman Mike Wright on Season-Ending Injured Reserve

The Patriots defensive line has taken yet another hit, as a head injury has ended lineman Mike Wright's season.

The team announced on Friday that Wright has been placed on season-ending injured reserve. Wright sustained a concussion during the Week 11 matchup against the Colts, and has been inactive since the injury.

Despite playing in only ten games this season, Wright is still the team leader in sacks with 5.5 on the year. The six-year veteran also registered 17 total tackles this season.

Wright incurred the head injury while rushing Colts quarterback Peyton Manning in the fourth quarter during the Nov. 21 matchup at Gillette Stadium.
