Phil Jackson never shies away from a question about other teams, so when the Lakers' coach was asked for his thoughts on the Eastern Conference, he fired away.
"I personally don't think [the Miami Heat] can get by Boston," Jackson said on 710 ESPN Radio. "I think Boston is too good a team — I think a team [that] is still going to win."
While Jackson, an 11-time NBA champion as a coach, said the Heat are definitely stacked enough to win a playoff series, he simply said the Celtics are better.
"Boston is older and they have to go through the rest of the schedule without having some kind of breakdown of players," Jackson said of challenges to the Celtics. "[Ray] Allen and [Kendrick] Perkins, et cetera. … They are just really a good team."
