Vince Wilfork Fined $10,000 for Third-Quarter Hit on Dolphins Quarterback Chad Henne

Patriots defensive lineman Vince Wilfork is the latest helmet-to-helmet offender on the NFL's lengthy list of fines.

The league announced on Friday that Wilfork has been fined $10,000 for his third-quarter hit on Dolphins quarterback Chad Henne, according to ESPN.com. Wilfork recorded a sack on the play that drove Henne into the ground, but the NFL ruled that there was helmet-to-helmet contact during the hit.

Dolphins defensive lineman Paul Soliai was also fined during the season-finale at Gillette. Soliai drew a $10,000 fine for roughing the Patriots' backup quarterback, Brian Hoyer, in the third quarter.
