CC Sabathia has lost some weight this offseason, and judging by his latest comments, he's lost some confidence in the New York Yankees, too.
Since signing his contract with New York, Sabathia has always been straightforward when asked about his clause, saying that he would not use it. However, in an interview at the Yankees' spring training complex with the New York Post on Monday, the lefty was vague and indecisive, saying that "anything is possible in a contract. … Who knows what is possible, but I am not thinking about anything beyond Opening Day."
The big lefty signed a seven-year, $161 million deal with the Yankees in December of 2008. He led the AL in wins in each of the last two seasons and finished third in Cy Young Award voting last summer.
