Celtics Take On Stephen Curry, Monta Ellis As Star Guards Clash at Golden State

This weekend, the Celtics had two guards representing them on the Eastern Conference All-Star squad in Los Angeles. A couple years down the road, the Golden State Warriors might have a couple All-Star guards of their own.

On Tuesday night, the C's will get their first look this season at a pair of rising stars, Stephen Curry and Monta Ellis. While both youngsters were snubbed by the Western Conference All-Star coaches in 2011, their futures look bright as long as they keep playing at their current level.

Curry, 22, has emerged as a star point guard in his second season. He's a brilliant passer, an excellent spot-up shooter, and a smart all-around player on both ends. Ellis, 25, is the team's scoring machine with 25.3 points per game. He leads the NBA in both total field goals attempted (1,138) and field goals made (524), as well as minutes (2,262).

Going toe to toe with the two dynamic Warriors will be Rajon Rondo and Ray Allen. There's a marquee matchup if you ever saw one. Also off the bench, the C's will have Delonte West for the first time since Nov. 24.

Here's the lineup card for C's-Warriors:

Celtics
Rajon Rondo, PG
Ray Allen, SG
Paul Pierce, SF
Kevin Garnett, PF
Kendrick Perkins, C

Warriors
Stephen Curry, PG
Monta Ellis, SG
Dorell Wright, SF
David Lee, PF
Andris Biedrins, C
