Deion Sanders, Marshall Faulk Headline 2011 Pro Football Hall of Fame Inductees

Seven NFL legends were given football immortality on Saturday night on the eve of Super Bowl XLV.

Marshall Faulk, Deion Sanders, Ed Sabol, Richard Dent, Les Richter, Shannon Sharpe, and Chris Hanburger will make up the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2011 inductees.

Faulk, Sanders and Sharpe are likely the most recognizable names as they have dominated the game most recently. Faulk established himself as one of the game's best and most versatile backs, Sanders was a two-way threat who could do it all and Sharpe is considered one of the best tight ends of all time.

Dent, the former Chicago Bears pass-rusher ends his wait to be enshrined, joined by Richter who made his keep as a linebacker, guard and kicker with the Rams in the 1950s and '60s, and Hanburger was a nine-time Pro Bowl selection as a Washington linebacker in the '60s and 70s.

Perhaps the most intriguing selection is that of Sabol. The 95-year-old got in for his work as the founder of NFL Films.
