Lakers legend Jerry West has already been immortalized on the NBA logo. Now, he is getting his own statue outside the Staples Center.

The imitation deviates slightly from the typical West image, as he is less vertical than normally seen, as this picture from the Los Angeles Daily News shows.

Artists Julie Rotblatt Amrany and Omri Amrany created the statue and have previously worked on other statues around the arena.

The statue is set to be shown to the public Thursday, on the eve of the All-Star festivities that will take place in Los Angeles this weekend.
