Liverpool Owner John Henry Praises Manager Kenny Dalglish for His Success With Reds

Things are looking up for a once distraught Liverpool club, and owner John Henry is not shy about commending interim manager Kenny Dalglish with the club’s revival.

According to ESPN.com, Henry said that the decision to appoint Dalglish as the temporary manager was the right one.

“It’s still early, but in retrospect you could not have made, in our case it was very fortunate for us, but we could not have made a better choice,” Henry said. “I know he, for a long time now, has wanted to be in this position, so it’s a great thing for the club, for Kenny and for us.”

During six games with Dalglish at the helm, the team has earned three wins and two draws with just one loss. Those wins are part of a three-game streak.

Henry isn’t the only soccer affiliate praising Dalglish. Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp said he feels the Scot has the permanent manager position locked up.

“If he does well, and he will, then there’s no way on earth Dalglish will not get the job on a permanent basis,” he said. “There would be uproar – from the fans and the footballers.”
