Red Sox Fans From Vermont Use Snow Storms to Replicate Green Monster and Honor Favorite Team

Red Sox fans are taking advantage of all the snow in the Northeast.

The Sanville family from Newport, Vt., honored the team by piling a mound of snow, painting it green and carving in "Go Sox."

Last season, the five kids went to their first Red Sox game on July 15, 2010. Although Boston lost to the Texas Rangers, the family had a great time at Fenway Park.

"They were so pumped," said their father, Bill Sanville. "They couldn't wait to cross the street to get to the game."

The youngest, 7-year-old Elijah Morris, watched in awe and was expecially excited to see David Ortiz.

The dedicated fans paid tribute to the Red Sox this winter by building a snow replica of Green Monster. Below are photos of their masterpiece and a group shot before their first game.
