Even though Carmelo Anthony is denying that his future is being decided over All-Star Weekend, that surely seems to be the case, as the New York Knicks have made their final offer for the superstar.
According to ESPN, the Knicks' package includes Raymond Felton, Wilson Chandler and Danilo Gallinari, and it's up to the Nuggets to take it or leave it.
"We're not going any further now," a source originally told Newsday. "It's out of our hands."
The Nets also have an offer on the table which the Nuggets have reportedly tentatively agreed to, and Anthony has said that he would sign an extension with New Jersey if the Nuggets and Knicks can't come to terms.
'Melo met with Nets owners Jay-Z and Mikhail Prokhorov on Saturday to discuss their long-term vision for the Brooklyn-bound franchise, but New York has long been accepted to be Anthony's first choice.
The three principal decision-makers in New York, Donnie Walsh, James Dolan and Mike D'Antoni have maintained a united voice on the topic of Anthony.
"We want to make it abundantly clear that we have been in constant communication throughout this process and the three of us are in complete agreement with everything that we are currently working on.
"Together, we will do what is best for the long-term success of the franchise. In addition, we want to make it clear that no one from outside our organization has been involved in this process in any way. We will have no further comment at this time," they said in a statement.
