Peter Chiarelli and the Bruins have already made a tremendous splash in the trade pool, but are they done dealing?
That’s a question that’s likely to linger over the next week, as the Bruins’ general manager has never shown a tendency to stand pat. If another GM calls Chiarelli, he’ll at least be listening, but do the B’s need to make any more moves to become a serious Cup contender?
You could argue that they already are. They’ve had stellar goaltending all season long and they just added a highly skilled, highly coveted, puck-moving defenseman in Tomas Kaberle. They also got Rich Peverley, a guy who can score when called upon, and Chris Kelly, a hard-working forward who will fit in well with Boston’s gritty style of play.
Are there any missing areas? Do the B’s need to ship away that first-round pick from Toronto in order to land a superstar even if it’s only for a few months? Or should they stick with their current roster and make a run at the Cup?
The deadline is Feb. 28. Will this Bruins team look the same when the clock strikes 3 p.m. next Monday?
Should the Bruins make another trade before the deadline to boost their Stanley Cup chances?survey software
