Boston University-Kansas NCAA Tournament Game the Most Expensive 1-16 Matchup

Boston University may be facing the monumental task of becoming the first ever 16 seed to knock off a 1 seed in the NCAA tournament, but the mismatch against Kansas surely isn’t preventing fans from paying big money to see the action live.

The BU-KU game is not only the most expensive 1-16 game in the tournament, it is even more expensive than multiple second-round games that one would expect to feature those other 1 seeds. A courtside seat will even run you $687, according to SeatGeek.

The high prices, however, can likely be attributed to the location of the game. It is in Tulsa, just a few hours’ drive from Kansas.

BU has not been in the tournament since 2002 and is the only Boston-area team in the field of 68.
