Clay Buchholz Looking to Stay on Course Against Orioles

Clay Buchholz threw two scoreless innings his first time out this spring. He tossed three of the same his next time out. Buchholz will try to take that next step Wednesday night when he takes on the Baltimore Orioles at home.

The right-hander, whose ERA soared over 10.00 during some struggles last spring, has yielded only one hit in those five dominant frames, striking out three.

One of the first men out of the bullpen for the Red Sox will be Bobby Jenks. The burly right-hander has also allowed just one hit in two scoreless innings of his own.

Boston has won three in a row. After a walk-off victory over Baltimore on Monday, there was a pair of wins in split-squad play Tuesday. That makes the Red Sox 3-1 in four straight one-run games, all on the heels of a 4-4 tie to the Orioles on Saturday.
