Harvard Hockey Team Adopts 12-Year-Old Cancer Survivor Nathan Potvin

Every team draws inspiration from different places. The Harvard hockey team draws its inspiration from Nathan Potvin.

The 12-year-old hockey lover from Hooksett, N.H., had a tumor found on his spine when he was just 5 years old. It was removed but has since returned. Through it all, Potvin showed courage and strength — traits he now shows to his teammates.

The team adopted Potvin as a full-fledged member, thanks to the Friends of Jaclyn program.

"They're like a bunch of brothers," Nathan said. "A whole team full of brothers."
