Max Pacioretty Released From Hospital, Resting at Home After Zdeno Chara Hit

After receiving treatment for a severe concussion and a fractured cervical vertebra, Canadiens forward Max Pacioretty has been released from the hospital.

Pacioretty was injured during Tuesday night's matchup against the Bruins, where a hit by Boston defenseman Zdeno Chara sent the forward headfirst into the partition between the two benches. Pacioretty stayed motionless on the ice for a few moments before he was taken away on a stretcher and brought to a nearby hospital.

Chara was given a game misconduct for the check, but did not incur any further discipline from the league.

Pacioretty is out indefinitely with the injury, and is resting at his home.
