Potential Harvard-Princeton Ivy League Playoff Will Take Place at Yale If Necessary

When it comes to college basketball, it's well known that the Ivy League doesn't have a conference tournament. This year, however, the conference may be in for a winner-take-all championship game anyways.

If Princeton defeats Penn on Tuesday, it will set up a winner-take-all league championship clash with Harvard. The conference announced that if that game is necessary, it will take place on Saturday, March 12 at Yale.

A Princeton win on Tuesday means that they would finish in a tie atop the Ivy League with Harvard, calling for a one-game playoff at a neutral site. That neutral site will be Yale's John J. Lee Amphitheater.

Harvard put itself in position to force the playoff when it defeated Princeton on Saturday. The two teams split their two meetings this season, as the Tigers defeated the Crimson earlier in the season.
