Princeton Forces Playoff With Harvard for Ivy League Title With Win Over Penn

The Harvard men's basketball team has one more hurdle if they want to reach the NCAA tournament. They've got to win the rubber match with Princeton.

Princeton defeated Penn in its regular-season finale on Tuesday night, setting up a one-game playoff with Harvard for the Ivy League crown. If the Tigers had fallen to Penn on Tuesday night, Harvard would have won the Ivy League.

Now, the two teams will play Saturday at Yale's John J. Lee Amphitheater in New Haven, Conn., with a trip to the Big Dance on the line.

If Harvard can beat Princeton for the second time in what will be eight days, the Crimson will lock up its first NCAA tournament appearance since 1946 and its first Ivy League title in school history.

Harvard and Princeton split their two meetings of the season.
