There are plenty of great coaches in the NFL, some of whom have been around forever and others who are still making names for themselves. And while the league lost one of its best head coaches this offseason when Jeff Fisher was fired by the Titans, newly-hired Leslie Frazier and Jason Garrett have the tools to one day rank among best in the business.

It's tough to succeed in the coaching industry, since owners demand the immediacy of winning and don't always have the patience to watch a coach grow with a reworked roster. And in the same token, the trend has been to hire younger coaches who have never won before, as owners hope they can breed success and stick around for more than a decade. The philosophy is surely flawed.
