Jermaine O’Neal Starts, Nenad Krstic Comes Off the Bench for Celtics Against Sixers

Once again, the Celtics are bringing a veteran center back from injury, but once again, he'll be coming off the bench.

Nenad Krstic is back in the mix for the Celtics on Tuesday night against the Philadelphia 76ers, having taken two games off to rest a bone bruise in his knee. But Krstic won't start against the Sixers — that distinction once again falls to Jermaine O'Neal.

Krstic hasn't come off the bench in over two years. His last game as a reserve was on Feb. 17, 2009, when he was with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

O'Neal will play his fourth game since returning last week from knee surgery. He had a solid performance Sunday against the Pistons, dropping five points and six rebounds in his first start.

Here's the lineup card for C's-Sixers:

Celtics
Rajon Rondo, PG
Ray Allen, SG
Paul Pierce, SF
Kevin Garnett, PF
Jermaine O'Neal, C

Sixers
Jrue Holiday, PG
Jodie Meeks, SG
Andre Iguodala, SF
Elton Brand, PF
Spencer Hawes, C
