Laurence Maroney Charged With Marijuana Possession

Laurence Maroney was arrested in January for weapons possession, though he was eventually released without being charged. As it turns out, though, the former Patriots running back didn't get off scot-free.

Maroney was charged with marijuana possession, stemming from that same January arrest, according to KMOX in St. Louis.

Along with three other men, Maroney was charged with misdemeneanor possession of under 35 grams of marijuana, according to the report.

Maroney, 26, played four seasons with the Patriots before being traded to Denver last season. There, he played in just four games, rushing for 74 yards and zero touchdowns, before the Broncos elected to allow him to become a free agent.
