Luis Suarez Played With Liverpool on Playstation As a Child, Says Kenny Dalglish Makes Him Feel Wanted

Luis Suarez's first few months at Anfield have been those of a dream, one which apparently began with a Playstation controller.

"When I was 10-years-old I used to play as them on PlayStation but I never imagined I would play here," said the Uruguayan in an interview with FourFourTwo.

"The whole world knows what history Liverpool have. … They are one of the best teams in Europe, some great players have played here and I was very excited to join."

Suarez credited his auspicious beginning with the Reds to his manager, Kenny Dalglish.

"I've already learned a lot from him," said the 24-year-old. "It seems like it's only been a little while since he was last coaching.

"The first thing he said to me was 'Hola, bienvenido' [Hello, welcome]. He still talks to me in Spanish because I don't understand English fully yet. This makes me feel wanted."

Suarez already has two goals and two assists in six appearances for Liverpool.
