Report: NFL Lockout Could Be Back On, With Appeals Court Likely to Grant Injunction

All those good feelings of the draft and the lifting of the NFL lockout took a major hit on Friday, with a report that says the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit may grant a temporary stay of the owners' injunction, which would effectively reinstate the lockout.

ESPN originally reported that the court had granted the injunction, but later retracted that report, as detailed by ProFootballTalk.com.

"Heard from a very reliable league source that the temporary stay has not been granted," NESN.com's Jeff Howe reported via Twitter. "[It] could still come, but definitely not yet."

The reported ruling would not be final, though, as it's only intended to serve as a temporary decision until next week, when the Eighth Circuit will make a permanent decision.
