The San Francisco Giants had a tremendous ceremony on Saturday night to celebrate their World Series championship as the players were given their rings. It was a tremendous ceremony until Sammy Hagar took the microphone.
The former Van Halen singer was tabbed to sing The Star-Spangled Banner at AT&T Park before the game, and he did his best to singlehandedly ruin the ceremony.
Hagar, with accompanying guitar play from Joe Satriani, used his trademark high voice to belt out the notes and the words to the national anthem, but there was one glaring problem. Like Christina Aguilera at the Super Bowl, Hagar fumbled through a few of the verses before mercifully finishing.
Even so, he was given a rousing ovation following the song.
