Which Bruins Player Has Been the Most Pleasant Surprise This Season? The Bruins were expecting a successful season heading in to 2010-11, setting lofty goals from the get-go. With a roster that boasts both experienced veterans and talented newcomers, the B's set high expectations early on.

Fans also had high hopes for the Bruins this season. With their solid roster, how could you not? But there have definitely been players that have gone above and beyond the call — ones that have been a pleasant surprise amid a very exciting season.

So which player has surprised you the most this season?

When the season began, there was only one rookie that Boston was buzzing about, and that was the No. 2 draft pick Tyler Seguin. Now that we're nearly through the regular season, another rookie has risen from the woodwork and gone above and beyond the fans' expectations. Brad Marchand not only has impressed on offense with his 21-19-40 stat line, but also with his gritty presence out on the ice.

When Greg Campbell and Nathan Horton joined the Bruins over the summer, most were interested in the latter player, looking forward to his skill and scoring touch in front of the net. There was very little buzz surrounding Campbell, and he's since emerged as a capable scorer who's not afraid to drop the gloves at a moment's notice.

Speaking of tough guys, Shawn Thornton is a name that Boston fans know well, considering the fact that he's spent the last three seasons with the black and gold. But this season, the enforcer has set himself apart, as the resident enforcer who has also doubled his scoring output of years past.

And finally, did anyone see Tim Thomas having another Vezina-quality year? Many were begging for the aging netminder to hit the trade blocks, but he's redeemed himself amongst the Bruins' fan base with league-leading numbers and out-of-his-mind saves.

The unexpected rise (or redemtion) of these players has made this season even more exciting — but which player surprised you the most?
