Which Potential First-Round Opponent Would Give Celtics the Most Problems? The playoff picture is starting to come into focus in Boston, and though the Celtics have been in a rough stretch as of late, they've already secured home-court advantage for their first round, and now it's just a matter of which team will be coming to town for the battle.

Though the Celtics are one of the top teams in the league, their recent struggles prove that they could run into some trouble if a playoff opponent knows how to expose their weaknesses. But which team would give the Celtics the most problems?

When looking at the list of potential opponents, the Knicks jump out as the team that has the toughest roster to match up against, yet the C's are 4-0 against New York this season, including a 96-86 win on March 21, after Carmelo Anthony joined the team. For some reason, the Celtics seem to rise to the occasion against tougher rivals this year, but that doesn't mean you can take the talented duo of Anthony and Amare Stoudemire lightly when it comes to a best-of-seven series.

Take a closer look at the 76ers during their matchup with the Celtics on Tuesday night, because they would be the first-round opponent if the playoffs were determined today. Philadelphia has surprised the Celtics on more than one occasion this season, including an 89-86 loss in early March due to the Celtics struggling in the fourth quarter — a recurring theme in recent losses.

The Bobcats' chances to reach the playoffs are slim, but they should not be underestimated if they end up on the Celtics' schedule in the first round. The Celtics proved that in March, when they lost late in the fourth quarter on a 16-0 run by the Bobcats.

A recent victory over the Celtics helped the Pacers solidify their playoff chances, as the Celtics' defense — which is normally solid — crumbled, and Indiana took advantage in the fourth for the win. The Pacers have talented shooters that can spark quickly if you give them opportunities.

The Celtics have proven during significant stretches this season that they know how to use their talent and their depth, but they need to bring it together soon if they want a fighting chance for that 18th banner.
