Who Was Red Sox' Best Pitcher in Spring Training? Spring training is hardly an indicator of what will follow come the regular season, but it is always nice to see your team's players get off to a solid start in March.

Down in Fort Myers, Clay Buchholz and John Lackey did exactly that. Each posted a 3.43 ERA in five starts, though Buchholz managed to go 0-2 in the process.

The most outstanding performer on the mound for the Sox, however, may have been somebody not many expected to pitch as well as he did.

Dennys Reyes posted a 2.45 ERA in 11 appearances for Boston, as the 33-year-old lefty earned a spot on the Opening Day roster.
