The Boston College football team hasn't taken on Miami on Thanksgiving Friday since a guy by the name of Doug Flutie manned the quarterback position. That will change this season.

For the first time since 1984, Boston College and Miami will meet on the day after Thanksgiving this season. It will be the teams' first Friday matchup since Flutie's now historic Hail Mary pass led the Eagles to a 47-45 victory at the Orange Bowl in Miami.

The 2011 contest will take place on Friday, Nov. 25 at Sun Life Stadium in Miami at 3:30 p.m. The two teams will play in front of a national television audience on ABC.

Miami leads the all-time series between the two ACC schools with a 23-4 advantage.
