Bruins, Canucks Fans Willing to Pay Top Dollar for Stanley Cup Final Tickets

It's been a long time since Bruins fans and Canucks fans have seen their respective franchises play for hockey's greatest prize. So now that the two teams are meeting in this year's Stanley Cup Final, some fans are willing to pay a pretty penny to see it live.

Tickets for Wednesday's series opener in Vancouver are already selling online for upwards of $800, according to Stubhub.com, and the prices continue to increase for games later in the series.

As of Sunday, tickets for Game 5 — the first possible elimination game at Rogers Arena — were selling for an average of $1,209, and two club-seat tickets had already been sold for $4,500 apiece.

Tickets for games at the TD Garden — which will host Games 3, 4 and 6 (if necessary) — have been slightly more affordable, averaging around $650 on Stubhub. However, the most expensive tickets (as of Sunday) had been purchased for $5,999 each — for Game 6.

The series will begin Wednesday at 8 p.m. in Vancouver, which will host the first two games before the series shifts to Boston for Game 3 on Monday, June 6.
