Kendrick Perkins Still Thinking About Celtics, Even Amid His Own Heated Playoff Series

Since Kendrick Perkins was traded by Boston on Feb. 24, the entire city has spent almost every day thinking about the big man. As it turns out, the feeling is mutual.

Perkins, the starting center for the Oklahoma City Thunder, was looking to help his team even up its series with the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night. But before the game, Perkins was worried about his former team trying to accomplish the same task.

The C's, however, went to overtime with Miami, which ran well into the start of the Oklahoma City-Memphis game, leaving Perkins completely unaware of the events in Boston.

"First thing Perk asked me when I saw him in the locker room [Monday] night: 'What happened in the Boston game?'" wrote Sports Illustrated's Chris Mannix on Twitter.

There was no explanation of his reaction to the news that Boston lost in overtime, but it's clear that Boston is still on Perkins' mind. Based on Perkins' stat line (four points, eight rebounds, six fouls in 35 minutes), he might have been distracted.
