Bruins captain Zdeno Chara is just like a member of The Beatles. Yes — a 6-foot-9, Slovakian, hockey-playing member of The Beatles.
While Chara may not have any musical talent, he was given the rock star treatment upon the Bruins’ arrival in British Columbia on Monday afternoon. Clearly, this photographer wasn’t afraid of getting Randy Johnson‘d, as the 6-foot-10 lefty didn’t always appreciate a camera in his face.
Chara, though, is a much gentler giant.
Plus, we already knew he was a natural in front of the camera.
Would you step in front of Zdeno Chara on the tarmac, or would you book it to get out of his way? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
“Tonight I just didn’t have a feel for anything. I stunk. There’s no other way to put it.”
–Jon Lester, after allowing seven earned runs in 5 2/3 innings on Monday night
NESN’s Don Orsillo already has a smash-hit single “Gyro Ball,” performed with his partner-in-crime, Jerry Remy. But DO may want to embark on a new rap career.
Of all the people I expected to throw a zinger at the Edmonton Oilers after 3-plus minutes of monotone reporting on a Bruins invasion, this guy was not one of them. Alas, that is why we watch.
