Bruins Wrap Stanley Cup in Vintage Team Jacket After Stanley Cup Game 7 Win (Photos)

For the past several months, the Bruins have awarded an ugly, vintage jacket to the player of the game. It's become a special tradition within the locker room, particularly after the injured Nathan Horton returned to the TD Garden after Game 4 to hand off the jacket to teammate Rich Peverley.

It drew some derisive comments from Canucks defenseman Kevin Bieksa (who, ahem, was later found to have a similar motivational tool within his own locker room), but it remained an important part of the Bruins' team unity.

It was fitting, then, that the Bruins didn't pick a player of the game after winning Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final in Vancouver on Wednesday night. Instead, the team took the jacket, which Andrew Ference had purchased on eBay, and wrapped it around Lord Stanley's Cup.
