Ron Artest Ditches Rap Career for Acting in Western Skit on ‘Sports Show With Norm MacDonald’

Last June, Ron Artest was making headlines for “Champions,” his rap song (using this term loosely) that celebrated the Lakers’ NBA Finals victory over the Celtics.

This year, with his Lakers getting eliminated in the second round, Artest had some extra free time. He, apparently, didn’t use it to take acting lessons.

The enigmatic star was a guest on Sports Show With Norm MacDonald on Tuesday night, and he can now add acting to the list of things he’s done poorly.

One time, when I was about 10 or 11 years old, this same exact thing happened to me, only I hit a white Jeep Cherokee with a Grateful Dead bumper sticker instead of a tree. You’d think that would make me sympathetic to this guy … but no. Hilarious.
