Bartolo Colon Strains Hamstring in Yankees’ 4-0 Win Over Indians

New York Yankees pitcher Bartolo Colon suffered a strained hamstring in a 4-0 victory over the Cleveland Indians on Saturday.

Colon suffered the injury in the seventh inning of Friday's game against the Indians. He pulled his hamstring as he was running over to cover first base on a ground ball.

While Yankees manager Joe Girardi did not disclose results of the MRI Colon underwent, he said a minor-league pitcher would replace Colon if needed.

This year, the right-handeder has started 10 games for the Yankees, posting a 3.10 ERA. He recorded a complete-game shutout two starts ago when the Yankees faced the Oakland Athletics.

Colon joins Phil Hughes, Amauri Sanit, Rafael Soriano and Joba Chamberlain on the list of injured Yankees pitchers. Chamberlain is slated to miss the rest of the season.
