The knuckleball has been the primary weapon of Red Sox pitcher Tim Wakefield for 19 seasons, and like the great knuckleballers before him, Wakefield is honing his craft well into his fifth decade. He takes the mound Sunday in search of his 199th career victory.

Wakefield has made quite a few big league hitters look silly over the years. He's also made heroes out of middling infielders we won't name who got lucky and caught a knuckler that ran flat.
