Report: Nationals Trade Pitcher Jason Marquis to Arizona Diamondbacks

Eleven-year veteran pitcher Jason Marquis' new baseball home is going to be on the other side of the country.

Fox Sports' Jon Morosi reported via Twitter that sources said a deal had been reached that would send the 32-year-old Nationals pitcher to the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Nationals will receive shortstop prospect Zach Walters in exchange for Marquis, according to ESPN's Jim Bowden. The D-Backs will also reportedly take on all of the $2.47 million remaining on Marquis' contract.

This season, Marquis is 8-5 with a 3.95 ERA through 20 starts. He was named to the National League All-Star team as a member of the Colorado Rockies in 2009.
