On Wednesday, it was reported that the Cowboys receiver filed a lawsuit against ex-girlfriend Brooke Daniels, a former Miss Texas USA whom he proposed to by sending a recorded message — along with the rock — in the mail. Despite such a romantic gesture, Daniels rejected his proposal.
As it turns out, she had a pretty good reason.
Daniels is now dating University of Houston baseball player David Murphy, according to a report by bustedcoverage.com. The sophomore infielder, who completed his final treatment for acute lymphoid leukemia in January, appeared in 13 games this season for the Cougars.
Daniels made their relationship public Thursday by Tweeting, "A baller on the field, cancer survivor, and a great person.Follow a charmer @DMMurphy10 also,he is dating the gorgeous missTX @Bdanielstx09."
Needless to say, this probably hasn't been one of Roy Williams' better weeks.
