Next time you're about to throw away that old wood bat that's been lying around in your garage, think twice. You may want to turn it into a musical instrument.

National Symphony Orchestra violinist Glenn Donnellen took to the field Saturday in Washington with his "electric slugger," a violin made out of an old Louisville Slugger baseball bat.
