Ndamukong Suh Says He’s Not a Dirty Player Because His Mother Doesn’t Think So

Proud parents always make the most objective observers, right?

Ndamukong Suh apparently thinks so, as he shrugged off any suggestions that he’s become a dirty player, using his mother’s opinion as proof.

“I’ll consider myself a dirty player when my mom calls me a dirty player,” Suh said Monday, according to The Associated Press.

Well then. I guess that’s settled.

When asked about his open-handed punch of Logan Mankins on Saturday night, Suh even said the referee was on his side.

“[The referee] said in the future, I should let them handle those situations, but that he understood exactly what I was trying to do,” Suh said.

Suh’s image has come under fire a bit, after two questionable plays this preseason. There was the aforementioned altercation with Mankins from Saturday, and there was his hit on quarterback Andy Dalton that drew a $20,000 fine from the league. Last season, he was fined twice for hits on quarterbacks.

Sunday on Facebook, Suh said he “had a blast beating up on the Brady bunch.”
