Twitter Co-Founder Biz Stone Confirms Logo’s Bird Named Larry, After Larry Bird

Nearly two decades have passed since Larry Bird retired, but the legend of Larry Legend just got an interesting, new twist (or, tweet, if you prefer) added to it.

The world-famous bird that flies around the internet at a dizzying 140-character clip is named — that's right, you guessed it — Larry.

Biz Stone, co-founder of Twitter and a Boston native, decided to end all of the speculation by confirming on Thursday that the bird in the company's logo is named Larry, after the Celtic great.

With a namesake like that, it's no wonder that the bird is so great at passing along information with both style and efficiency. But if Stone really wanted his company's logo to reflect the NBA legend, maybe adding a killer '80s mustache would do the trick.
