Blake Kessel chose to forego his senior season at UNH last week to become a member of the Philadelphia Flyers, signing an entry-level contract last Wednesday.
And if anyone wants to get to know Phil's younger brother, Blake, a little better, all they have to do is check out his personal website, which was created for an entry-level computer science class at UNH, as pointed out by SB Nation.
Although the website dates back to 2008, and although he describes his list as "unordered," the younger Kessel has the first three Pirates of the Carribean movies at the top of his list of favorites. The list also includes Rounders, Braveheart and Gladiator.
The Islanders, the team that drafted his rights in the sixth round of the 2007 NHL draft, headline his list of favorite NHL teams. The Bruins, who Phil used to play with before being traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs, are No. 2. The Flyers were eighth on the list.
Blake Kessel's "places to visit" list is an interesting mix that includes Dubai, Peru, Egypt and Paris. There is also a biography of himself and a biography of his brother, written while Phil was still with the B's.
It's a good thing Blake Kessel's hockey career seems to be working out, though, because it didn't seem like he had much of a future in web design.
