We've all done it before.

When a commercial comes on the TV, we change the channel. When an ad plays on the radio, we search for another station. When there's a bulletin in the newspaper, we turn the page.

In almost every medium of communication there is a way to avoid ads, but the Athletics are trying to change that.

During a visit to the men's room at O.co Coliseum in Oakland, Calif., CNBC's Darren Rovell noticed the A's are getting creative, offering advertisement space above urinals. Here is a picture Rovell took, highlighting the ad space.

Much to the delight of advertisers, now there is a way to promote business while fans take care of their, um – business.
