The Flyers invaded Fenway Park in 2010's Winter Classic showdown with the Bruins. In 2012, they will have home field advantage as they play host to their Atlantic Division rivals, the New York Rangers.
This isn't the first time the Classic is being played in Pennsylvania, however, as Heinz Field played host to last year's showdown between the Penguins and the Capitals for the latest chapter in the ongoing saga between Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin.
Hosting the game hasn't been much of a privilege, as the home team is just 1-3 in the four-year history of the Classic. That lone winner was the Bruins, who beat the Flyers in Boston in 2010.
