Sure, season tickets are nice, but they only guarantee admittance to half of a team's game.
Steve Malia, a Yankees fan, is attending his 162nd game of the season on Wednesday night. That's right. He's been to ALL of the games. Home and away. Even the ones that were rained out and rescheduled.
"Logistically, it was kind of a nightmare," Malia told WCBS. "I didn't get any special deals from the airlines or hotels."
According to the article, Malia took a look at the Yankees' schedule at the beginning of the season and planned out which ones he could drive to and which ones he would need to book flights for.
The 41-year-old says that he decided to go for it this spring after saving up about $60,000 for the quest.
"I've had a business since I was 24," he says. "I just felt like if I didn't do it now, I'd probably never do it."
Malia also says that his favorite road city is Boston, and that he plans on continuing to follow the Yankees into the postseason. He hopes that the Yankees will keep going onto the World Series.
Here's hoping he's wrong.
