The Bruins have the same nucleus in tact this season, though, and are hoping to join the list of teams that have accomplished the difficult feat. They've had a busy offseason because of last season's triumph, but the B's undoubtedly know that it's back to work in 2011-12.
With this in mind, we asked, "Can you name the last four franchises to win consecutive Stanley Cup titles since 1980?"
The New York Islanders (four straight, 1980-83), the Edmonton Oilers (two repeats, 1984-85, 1987-88), the Pittsburgh Penguins (1991-92) and the Detroit Red Wings (1997-98) have each enjoyed a Stanley Cup repeat since 1980.
For a select amount of Bruins games this season, NESN and The Four's will be teaming up to offer B's fans the chance at winning a $50 gift card to The Four's Restaurant and Sports Bar by simply answering a trivia question found at NESN.com/thefours. Questions will be posted at noon every afternoon on the day of a Bruins home game, unless otherwise noted.
