Liverpool’s Jack Robinson Scores for England Under-19’s, Draw France 2-2

Liverpool left back Jack Robinson gave the England under-19's a 2-1 lead by scoring from a free kick, but the Young Lions drew the France U-19's 2-2 in their first match of the Limoges Tournament hosted by France.

Starting at left back, Robinson played a part in the build up of England's first goal, scored by Manchester United striker Will Kean. After France equalized through Auxerre striker Yaya Sanogo, Robinson buried a free kick in the 77th minute, only to see France once again draw level, this time through Paris Saint-Germain attacker Jean-Christophe Bahebeck.

"The second goal was a clever free-kick from Jack Robinson, who'd been lively all night," said U-19's manager Noel Blake. 

"It was good to see an England team score direct from a free-kick because it's not something we do enough of."

In more Liverpool-related news, Conor Coady captained Blake's side and striker Adam Morgan came off of the bench.

The U-19's will face another difficult challenge when they square off against Portugal on Friday.
