Members of Red Sox Nation have been searching for candidates who they think might have the most success in Boston. DeMarlo Hale, Pete Mackanin and Dave Martinez are only a handful of names being suggested as good fits in Beantown.
But perhaps the Red Sox would do best to think outside the box — way outside the box. Perhaps find a manager who can enlist the help of supernatural powers. Or a manager who can teach a dog how to track down fly balls. Or a manager who has elite hand-eye coordination — with chopsticks. The Sox could take a cue from Hollywood and invite fictional managers from sports movies in for some interviews.
