OHL’s Plymouth Whalers Don Pink Jerseys, Dye Hair for Breast Cancer Awareness (Photo)

Many professional sports teams show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but how many can you name that dye their hair pink?

The Plymouth Whalers of the OHL held their fourth annual ‘Pink Out’ at their home ice on Saturday night, wearing pink breast cancer ribbon jerseys that were later auctioned off to benefit the Karmanos Cancer Institute.

Along with the jerseys, every player on the team agreed to dye their hair bright pink for the game, with one defenseman going above and beyond, Yahoo Sports points out.

Austin Levi, a draft pick of the Carolina Hurricanes, came up with the idea of shaving his hair into the shape of a breast cancer ribbon.

Sounds like the only thing they were missing was a pink rink to play on.
