We here in New England have plenty of sports teams that we love to hate.
However, according to Guyism.com, people hate Boston sports. A lot. While 75 percent of New England’s teams are in the Top 12 Most Hated, Bostonians will be happy to hear that the Yankees have captured top honors.
The Celtics rank at No. 10, beating out only the University of Miami’s football team and the San Fransisco 49ers. Nos. eight and nine are USC’s football team and the Detroit Red Wings, respectively.
Nestling in at six and seven are the Patriots and Red Sox. Apparently there is not much sympathy for our teams:
“Oh, and Boston? You’ve won roughly one billion championships between your sports teams in the last decade so you can quit it with that whole underdog, woe is me crap, okay? Nobody’s buying it anymore,” writes Neil Bulson of Guyism.com.
When four teams have won seven championships in 10 years, that’s not a terrible argument to be on the losing side of.
Making up the top five in descending order are the Los Angeles Lakers, Notre Dame football, Dallas Cowboys, Duke University basketball and the most-hated New York Yankees.
